I hope you are enjoying the saga’s first installment because this is when things start to get interesting for the Clan Lamont. We will begin to examine Sir James XIV, his temperament, and governance during the early days and beyond. We will also look at some familiar characters such as that proud duck Archibald Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyle. Of course, he was Chief of the Campbell clan and a significant figure in the Covenanter movement.

Archibald Campbell, 1st Marquess of Argyle

Known to Lamont’s the world over from makeshift dartboards attached to event tents, he’s the man we most love to hate! However, there is plenty of blame to go around, and we will examine the facts as unbiased as possible.
